Clear charging profiles from a charger
POST/chargers/:id/actions/clear-charging-profile
Sends an OCPP ClearChargingProfile command to remove one or more charging profiles from the charger.
Use Cases:
- Remove temporary charging schedules after completion
- Clear conflicting or outdated profiles
- Reset charger to default charging behavior
- Remove profiles before setting new load management rules
- Clean up profiles after testing or troubleshooting
Clearing Modes:
- All Profiles: Omit filters to clear all profiles (use with caution)
- By Profile ID: Clear specific profile by ID
- By Stack Level: Clear all profiles at specific priority level
- By Connector: Clear profiles for specific connector
- By Purpose: Clear profiles of specific type (ChargePointMax, TxDefault, Tx)
What Gets Cleared:
- Matching charging profiles and schedules
- Power limits and time-based restrictions
- Stack level priority configurations
- Connector-specific profiles (if filtered)
What Remains:
- Configuration parameters
- Authorization cache
- Active sessions (not interrupted)
- Hardware capabilities
- Other non-matching profiles
Best Practices:
- Use specific filters to avoid clearing all profiles unintentionally
- Clear profiles during low-usage periods
- Verify composite schedule after clearing
- Document profile clearing for audit trail
- Re-apply default profiles if needed after clearing
warning
Clearing all profiles (no filters) removes ALL charging profiles, reverting charger to hardware maximum power. Use specific filters to target only intended profiles.
tip
Provide chargingProfileId, stackLevel, or connectorId filters to clear specific profiles. Omitting filters clears ALL profiles.
